Most schools have a double standard when it comes to dress codes and almost always it’s girls who are policed on how they dress, wear their hair and so on. Conservative schools can be sticklers for rules and one girl from a private Christian high school was asked not to dye her hair. What the school didn’t know was that she had “poliosis,” a condition that causes a section of the hair to have a different color due to decreased levels of melanin in the roots of the affected hairs, according to Bored Panda. She had a natural patch of white hair in the front of her head. The color difference made it look like she had tried the “rogue” hair trend. The alarm bells went off in the heads of the school authorities who thought she was dying her hair to attain the hairstyle.
